Tips for the Best Visit

We want you to have the best deep sea adventure possible! Follow these tips when planning your visit for the ultimate underwater experience!

Operating Hours

The aquarium is open 365 days a year! Our hours change seasonally and we do close early some evenings for private events. Please check the hours posted on our website before swimming by.

Peak Hours

Want to avoid crowds? We highly recommend planning your visit outside of our peak hours of 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on weekdays and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

Weather

Swimming by without pre-purchased tickets? Lines to purchase tickets sometimes extend outside of our facility during peak times and seasons. We suggest dressing according to the weather to remain comfortable. Don’t worry though, you won’t need sunscreen for the rays inside the aquarium!

Re-Entry

There is no re-entry to the aquarium. Once your ticket has been scanned on the day of your visit, you cannot leave and re-enter. Please visit Guest Services if you need to leave under special circumstances.

Strollers and Wagons

Visiting during peak hours with the kids and want to ensure the best experience possible? Leave stroller at home, in the car, or use a smaller umbrella stroller.

Wagons are not permitted. As of May 2023, we no longer allow wagons, “stroller-wagons,” or large running strollers inside the aquarium. This policy change was made to make it easier to move through the aquarium, allowing all guests view the animals and exhibits up close, with more ease.

  • There is limited space in our coat check to store wagons and large strollers. In order to do so, they must be empty and folded.

  • Overflow holding space for these items will be offered, but please note that the space is not monitored.

  • Please contact Guest Services at [email protected] for information and assistance regarding accessibility exceptions.

Photography

You are welcome to take photos and video inside the aquarium as long as it is not for commercial use. We only allow hand-held cameras inside the aquarium and do not permit any additional equipment with general admission.

For commercial film and photography shoot inquiries, please email [email protected].

Quick Tip: Avoid using flash photography for both better photos and the safety of the animals.
